Spring is upon us, and so is Spring Bingo! The Retired and Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) will hold a bingo fundraiser at the Rogue Ales Brewery in South Beach on Sunday, April 14th from 2pm to 6pm. The family friendly bingo games will take place downstairs in the “Board Room”. A variety of bingo games will be played and winners will be able to choose from a wide selection of prizes for adults and children. There will also be raffle drawings every hour, on the hour! Re-usable bingo cards will be $5 per card, $13 for 3 cards, or $20 for 5 cards. And raffle tickets will be sold at $1 per ticket. Bring in a special raffle ticket coupon, found on select Spring Bingo flyers placed throughout town, and receive 5 free raffle tickets! Food and beverages will be available for purchase.
All proceeds from RSVP’s Spring Bingo will go towards a volunteer’s mileage reimbursement. Without a mileage reimbursement, many RSVP volunteers would not be able to do what they love and serve their community. Volunteers can receive up to $25 per month to help pay for the expenses that sometimes come with traveling to their volunteer site. The dedication of RSVP’s volunteers can be seen in the distance they travel to do what they are so passionate about. Jerry has been a volunteer with RSVP for 8 years! Jerry is very active in his community and wears many hats when it comes to volunteering. During his time as an RSVP volunteer, Jerry has traveled nearly 10,000 miles! On average, Jerry travels 300-500 miles per month! Without the support of the monthly mileage reimbursement, volunteers like Jerry may not be able to volunteer at the places they love.
